The 52mm PP Liquid Water Level Sensor is a compact, vertical-mount float switch designed for precise level detection in small to medium-sized tanks. Because it is made from Polypropylene (PP), it is highly resistant to corrosion and is safe for use with water, mild acids, bases, and food-grade liquids.
The "Down" designation typically refers to the mounting style (installed through the bottom or top of a tank) or the default "Normally Closed" (NC) logic that triggers as the float moves downward.
Magnetic Reed Technology: The stem contains a sealed reed switch, and the round float contains a permanent magnet.
Reversible Logic: One of the best features of this design is that you can usually reverse the logic. By simply removing the "C-clip" at the bottom, flipping the float upside down, and putting the clip back on, you can change the switch from "Normally Open" to "Normally Closed."
Compact Footprint: At only 52mm long, it is perfect for tight spaces where a large cable-style float switch (like the MAC3) wouldn't fit.
Hermetically Sealed: The electrical contacts are completely isolated from the liquid, preventing oxidation and ensuring a long service life.

Do Not Connect Directly to a Pump! The internal reed switch is designed for signal current only (0.5A). Attempting to power a water pump or a motor directly through this switch will weld the contacts shut instantly.
Correct Setup: Use the float switch to trigger a Relay or an Arduino input, which then toggles the high-power device.
