The LM2596 DC-DC Step-Down Converter with Digital Display is an upgraded version of the classic buck regulator, combining high-efficiency voltage conversion with a built-in voltmeter.
This module features the reliable LM2596 switching regulator capable of driving a 3A load with excellent linearity and load regulation.
Real-Time Monitoring: Toggle between input and output voltage displays with the onboard tactile switch. A dedicated LED indicator tells you which one is currently being shown.
Touch-Button Control: Easily turn the voltmeter display on or off to save power by holding the button for 2 seconds.
Screw Terminal Connections: No soldering is required! The board comes with heavy-duty screw terminals for secure and easy wiring of your Electrapac projects.
Precision Potentiometer: Use the multi-turn trimpot to dial in sensitive voltages like 3.3V, 5V, or 12V with high resolution.
High-Voltage Range: Supports up to 40V input, making it ideal for 24V industrial systems or 36V e-bike battery applications.
To get the most out of your module:
Switching Display: Short-press the button to toggle between input voltage (V_in) and output voltage (V_out).
Calibration Mode: * Set the display to the voltage you want to calibrate (e.g., Output).
Hold the button for over 2 seconds until the display flashes.
Short-press the button to increase or decrease the value in 0.1V increments until it matches your multimeter.
Hold for 2 seconds again to save the setting.
Voltage Differential: For the buck converter to work, the input voltage must be at least 1.5V higher than the desired output.
