The Mini Power Bank Step-Up Protection Board is an ultra-compact, all-in-one solution for creating custom portable power sources. It combines a battery charger, a voltage booster, and a protection circuit into a single miniature PCB, making it ideal for small-scale DIY projects. Read more
The Mini 5V Step-Up Power Bank Module is an ultra-compact, two-in-one solution for portable power. At Electrapac, we recommend this board for hobbyists who need a tiny, lightweight way to add a rechargeable 5V USB output to their projects without the bulk of a full-sized power bank.
This module is the "miniature hero" of power management. It combines a Lithium Battery Charger and a DC-DC Step-Up (Boost) Converter on a single PCB roughly the size of a fingernail. It takes the 3.7V from a single 18650 or Li-Po battery and boosts it to a stable 5V output, while also providing a Micro-USB port to recharge the battery.
Ultra-Miniature Design: Its small footprint makes it perfect for "stealth" installs inside small toys, 3D-printed gadgets, or handheld devices.
Charge & Boost Simultaneously: While you are charging the battery via Micro-USB, the module can still provide power to your 5V circuit (Note: output current is shared).
Integrated Protection IC: Features built-in over-charge and over-discharge protection, ensuring your Electrapac lithium cells stay healthy and don't drain past the danger zone.
Dual-Color Status LED:
Red LED: Charging in progress.
Green/Blue LED: Charging complete.
High Efficiency: Uses synchronous rectification to achieve up to 90% efficiency, reducing heat and maximizing battery runtime.
Follow these simple terminal points to build your Electrapac mini-power source:
B+ (Battery Positive): Connect to the (+) of your 3.7V Lithium battery.
B- (Battery Negative): Connect to the (-) of your battery.
VOUT+ (Output): Provides regulated 5V for your project.
GND (Ground): The common negative for your 5V output.
Important: This module does not have a full-sized USB-A female port. It uses solder pads for the output, allowing you to wire it directly to your circuit or solder your own USB socket as needed.
Portable Arduino Power: Powering an Arduino Nano or Pro Micro from a single 18650 cell.
DIY Pocket Fans: A tiny driver for small 5V DC motors.
USB Emergency Chargers: Building the smallest possible backup charger for low-power accessories.
LED Wearables: Powering WS2812B (Neopixel) LED strips on clothing or cosplay.
Wireless Sensors: Providing a rechargeable 5V rail for ESP8266 or ESP32 IoT nodes.
We source our Mini Power Modules with high-quality chipsets to ensure the voltage doesn't "sag" when your device draws its full 1A current. At
