The Dual USB QC3.0 Fast Charging Buck Converter is a high-performance power transformation module designed to turn any high-voltage DC source into a modern fast-charging station. At Electrapac, we recommend this module for automotive, solar, and industrial projects where you need to charge modern smartphones at their maximum supported speeds.
This module is a "Smart" Step-Down (Buck) converter. Unlike standard 5V regulators, it features an integrated Fast Charge Recognition IC.
Dual Independent Ports: Each USB port operates on its own dedicated chip. Charging a phone on Port 1 won't slow down the fast-charging speed of a tablet on Port 2.
Intelligent Voltage Scaling: Using the QC3.0 standard, the module can adjust output in 200mV increments to find the most efficient charging curve for your device, reducing heat and battery wear.
Synchronous Rectification: Advanced switching technology ensures that even at 24W, the module remains highly efficient, wasting very little energy as heat.
Wide Input Compatibility: Works seamlessly with 12V and 24V vehicle systems.
Solder-Ready Design: Large, clearly marked solder pads make it easy to integrate into custom dashboard panels, portable power boxes, or 3D-printed enclosures.
To build a high-speed Electrapac charging hub, follow these steps:
Input Power (IN+ / IN-): Connect your DC source (Battery or Power Supply).
Note: The input voltage must be at least 2V higher than the desired output voltage to achieve fast charging (>14\V input for 12V output).
Mounting: The module features mounting holes for secure installation inside a project box.
Heat Dissipation: Under heavy dual-port 24W loads, the board will get warm. Ensure there is adequate airflow or mount it against a non-conductive, heat-resistant surface.
Polarity Protection: While the module has protection, always double-check your IN+ and IN- connections to prevent damage to the high-speed ICs.
