Upgrade your high-power switching systems with the SSR-40DA Solid State Relay, available now at the best price in Bangladesh from ElectraPac. The SSR-40DA is a professional-grade electronic switch designed to control high-voltage AC loads using low-voltage DC signals. It is widely used by Dhaka’s industrial engineers and DIY experts for managing heavy heating elements, AC motors, and industrial lighting systems where mechanical relays would wear out too quickly. The SSR-40 DA Solid State Relay is a modern, high-speed electronic switch designed for silent and wear-free power control.
Unlike traditional mechanical relays that use a physical coil and moving metal contacts, the SSR-40 DA uses high-speed semiconductors (Optocouplers and Triacs).
Silent Operation: Ideal for environments where the loud "clicking" of mechanical relays is undesirable, such as home automation or laboratory equipment.
Optical Isolation: The input (DC) and output (AC) sides are optically isolated, protecting your sensitive Arduino, ESP32, or PLC from high-voltage AC surges.
Zero-Cross Switching: This feature minimizes electrical noise and electromagnetic interference (EMI) by only switching the AC load when the sine wave crosses the zero-voltage point.
LED Status Indicator: Features a built-in red LED that illuminates when the DC control signal is active, making troubleshooting simple and visual.
High-Speed Switching: Capable of much faster switching frequencies than mechanical relays, making it suitable for basic PID temperature control loops.
Connecting the Electrapac Solid State Relay is straightforward, but heat management is critical:
Input (Terminals 3 & 4): Connect Terminal 3 to your DC Positive (+) and Terminal 4 to your DC Negative (-). It operates perfectly on 5V from an Arduino.
Output (Terminals 1 & 2): These act as a switch for your AC Load. Connect one wire of your AC power source to Terminal 1, and the other side of your load to Terminal 2.
Heat Dissipation: CRITICAL: When switching loads above 10A, the SSR will generate significant heat. You must mount the relay onto an Aluminum Heat Sink using thermal paste to prevent the internal semiconductors from burning out.
Pro-Tip: If you are controlling a highly inductive load (like a large motor or a solenoid), we recommend adding a Varistor (MOV) across the output terminals to protect the SSR from back-EMF voltage spikes.
Industrial Heating: Precise temperature control for plastic extruders, packaging machines, and ovens.
Home Automation: Controlling high-power AC appliances like water heaters or room heaters via Wi-Fi.
CNC & 3D Printing: Managing the heated bed power on large-scale 3D printers.
Lighting Systems: Controlling large arrays of stage lights or industrial warehouse lighting.
Motor Control: Simple ON/OFF control for AC pumps and fans (Note: Not for speed control).
