The XL6009 DC-DC Step-Up Booster Converter is a high-performance module designed to "boost" a lower input voltage to a higher, regulated output voltage.
The XL6009 is a non-isolated switching regulator featuring a built-in 4A MOSFET switch.
Step-Up Only: Note that this is a Boost converter; the output voltage must always be set higher than the input voltage.
Superior to LM2577: While the LM2577 runs at 50kHz, the XL6009 runs at 400kHz. This means less noise and much higher efficiency for sensitive electronics.
High Power Capability: Capable of handling up to 4A of switching current, though for continuous high-load use, a heat sink is required.
Precision Potentiometer: Use the on-board multi-turn trimpot to precisely set your output voltage.
Safety Features: Includes built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting to prevent the module from burning out under extreme stress.
To integrate this into your Electrapac project, follow these connection points:
Input (IN+ / IN-): Connect your power source (e.g., a Li-ion battery or 5V power supply).
Output (OUT+ / OUT-): Connect your load (12V motor or 24V LED strip).
Adjustment: Use a small screwdriver to turn the potentiometer. Counter-clockwise typically increases the voltage on these modules.
Heat Management: If your output power exceeds 10W (12V at 1A}), please add an aluminum heat sink to the XL6009 chip.
