The XL6009 DC-DC Step-Up Boost Converter with Digital Display is a versatile and high-performance power module designed to increase a low input voltage to a stable, higher output voltage.
This module utilizes the XL6009 high-frequency switching chip, which is the superior successor to the older LM2577.
Integrated Digital Voltmeter: Features a bright red LED display. Use the onboard button to toggle between viewing the Input Voltage and the Output Voltage (indicated by "IN" and "OUT" LEDs).
High-Frequency Switching: Operating at 400kHz allows for a smaller inductor and lower output ripple compared to older 50kHz modules.
Wide Voltage Range: Boost a single Lithium battery (3.7V) to 12V, or a 12V car battery to 24V or 32V with ease.
Calibratable Display: If the voltmeter shows a slight deviation, it features a calibration mode to sync the display perfectly with your professional laboratory equipment.
Robust Terminal Blocks: Includes high-quality screw terminals for secure, solder-free wiring of your Electrapac components.
To ensure the best performance from your XL6009 module, follow these Electrapac guidelines:
The "Boost" Rule: This is a Step-Up module only. Your input voltage must always be lower than your target output voltage.
Initial Calibration: Use the blue multi-turn potentiometer to set your voltage.
Clockwise: Increases Voltage.
Counter-clockwise: Decreases Voltage.
Thermal Management: For continuous loads exceeding 15W or 2A, it is highly recommended to stick an aluminum heatsink to the XL6009 chip to prevent thermal throttling.
Display Toggle: Press the button on the right side of the display to switch the voltmeter reading between the input and output rails.
Portable 12V/24V Power: Running 12V networking gear or LED strips from a 3.7V or 5V battery source.
