Expand your project's memory and log data like a pro with the Micro SD Storage Board TF Card Module, available now at Electrapac. This compact module is the perfect solution for any project that requires storing large amounts of information, such as sensor logs, audio files for speakers, or configuration settings. By using a standard Micro SD (TF) card, you can add gigabytes of storage to your microcontroller in seconds. Read more
The Micro SD Storage Board (SPI Shield Module) is a powerful expansion tool for data logging and media storage. At Electrapac, we recommend this module for any project that needs to store large amounts of data—like sensor logs, MP3 files, or bitmap images—that exceed the limited internal memory of a standard microcontroller.
This module allows your Arduino or other microcontrollers to read and write to a standard Micro SD (TF) card.
Safe Logic Conversion: Unlike cheaper modules, this board includes a level-shifting chip.
Easy SPI Connection: Uses the standard 6-pin SPI header (GND, VCC, MISO, MOSI, SCK, CS), making it compatible with almost all microcontrollers on the market.
Spring-Loaded Slot: Features a high-quality push-push (or push-pull) slot that holds the Micro SD card firmly in place, even in high-vibration environments.
Massive Data Storage: Supports FAT16 and FAT32 file systems, allowing you to store years' worth of sensor data on a single 16GB or 32GB card.
Standard Library Support: Works perfectly with the built-in SD.h library in the Arduino IDE.
For a successful setup from
VCC: 5V
GND: Ground
CS (Chip Select): Digital Pin 4 (Default in most sketches)
MOSI: Digital Pin 11
MISO: Digital Pin 12
SCK (Clock): Digital Pin 13
Pro-Tip: Always format your Micro SD card to FAT32 or FAT16 before use. If the card isn't recognized, ensure your wiring is firm and that you are using a card with 32GB capacity or less.
Data Logging: Record temperature, humidity, or GPS coordinates over long periods for analysis.
Audio Players: Store and play back .wav or .adcm files for talking robots or alarm systems.
Bitmap Displays: Store images to be displayed on OLED or TFT screens.
Configuration Files: Save user settings or Wi-Fi credentials that persist even after a power reset.
We source our Micro SD Modules with robust level shifters and gold-plated contacts to ensure high-speed data transfer without corruption. Visit
