Product Overview

The NEO-6M is a standalone GPS receiver featuring a high-performance u-blox 6 positioning engine. Wiring & Setup Guide

  1. Pin Connections: * VCC: 3.3V – 5V

    • GND: Ground

    • TX: Connect to Microcontroller RX

    • RX: Connect to Microcontroller TX (3.3V Logic)

  2. Outdoor Advantage: For the first "Cold Start," the module must be placed outdoors with a clear view of the sky. It may take up to 2 minutes to acquire its first lock.

  3. Level Shifting: While the module accepts 5V power, the data pins are 3.3V. For 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno, use a logic level shifter or resistors for the RX pin.
