The TEC1-12706 Thermoelectric Cooler is a high-efficiency Peltier module designed for precise temperature control and cooling applications. By applying a 12V DC power source, this solid-state device creates a significant temperature difference between its two sides, making one side ice-cold while the other dissipates heat. Read more
The TEC1-12706 is a solid-state active cooling component that uses the Peltier Effect to create a heat flux between the two sides of the device.
Solid-State Cooling: No moving parts, no noise, and no vibration.
Precise Temperature Control: By modulating the input current (often via PWM), you can control the temperature to within fractions of a degree.
Reversible Action: If you reverse the polarity of the DC power, the hot and cold sides swap.
Compact & Lightweight: Small enough to fit into portable coolers, CPU chillers, or medical devices.
Portable Refrigeration: Small car fridges or wine coolers.
Electronics Cooling: Chilling high-performance CPUs, GPUs, or laser diodes.
Scientific Instruments: Cooling CCD sensors in digital cameras to reduce "noise" in long-exposure photography.
Water Dispensers: Desktop water coolers that don't use compressors.
Never power this module without a Heat Sink!
The "hot side" of a Peltier module generates a massive amount of heat (both the heat pumped from the cold side plus the electrical heat from the current).
