The W1209 Digital Thermostat Temperature Control Switch is an incredibly versatile and low-cost solution for automated heating and cooling systems. At Electrapac, we recommend this module for DIY incubators, aquarium heaters, refrigerator repairs, and server rack cooling systems where precise temperature management is required.
The W1209 is a complete standalone thermostat that includes a high-brightness 3-digit LED display, three tactile configuration buttons, and a built-in 10A relay. It uses an NTC (10kΩ 0.5%) waterproof thermistor probe to sense the environment.
Dual Mode Operation: Supports both Cooling (C) and Heating (H) modes. You can easily switch between a fan-trigger or a heater-trigger via the onboard menu.
Onboard Memory: Once you set your parameters, the W1209 saves them in its internal memory.
Adjustable Hysteresis: You can set a "buffer" zone (2°C) to prevent the relay from clicking on and off rapidly when the temperature fluctuates slightly.
High-Temperature Alarm: Features a programmable alarm threshold that causes the display to flash or the relay to disconnect if the system overheats.
Waterproof Sensing Probe: Comes with a 0.5-meter waterproof NTC cable, allowing you to measure liquid temperatures in tanks or high-humidity environments safely.
Connecting the Electrapac W1209 is simple, but it is important to remember that the relay acts as a switch, not a power source:
+12V & GND: Connect your 12V DC power supply here to power the module itself.
K0 & K1: These are the relay contacts. They act like a physical switch. Connect one wire of your device (Bulb, Fan, etc.) through these terminals.
Buttons:
SET: Press once to set the target temperature. Long press to enter the hidden parameter menu (P0 to P6).
(+) and (-): Adjust the values up or down.
Pro-Tip: If your W1209 display shows "LLL," it means the sensor is disconnected. If it shows "HHH," the temperature is out of range or the sensor is shorted. Always ensure the white 2-pin sensor plug is pushed firmly into the socket.
Egg Incubators: Maintaining a steady 37.5°C for successful hatching.
Aquariums: Keeping tropical fish safe by controlling submersible heaters.
Computer Cooling: Automatically turning on exhaust fans when the case temperature gets too high.
Home Brewing: Controlling fermentation temperatures for consistent results.
Greenhouse Automation: Managing ventilation fans or misting systems based on air temperature.
We source our W1209 Modules with high-quality 10A relays and genuine NTC sensors to ensure long-term stability in the varied climate of Bangladesh. Visit us at for the automation controllers that put you in charge of your environment.
